We have some important news to share at NIPANC We are incredibly grateful to have been awarded funding through the Department of Health NI and Macmillan Cancer Support Cancer Charities Grant Scheme.This funding represents a significant step forward in our work to support people affected by pancreatic cancer across Northern Ireland — a disease where time, awareness, and access to support can make a real difference. Expanding Support for Patients and Families Thanks to this funding, NIPANC will be able to expand and strengthen the services we provide, ensuring more individuals and families can access the support they need, when they need it most.This includes:Enhancing our patient and family support servicesIncreasing awareness of pancreatic cancer symptoms and support pathwaysReaching more people across Northern Ireland who may not yet know about the help available to them New Family Support Worker Role As part of this expansion, we are now recruiting a Family Support Worker to join the NIPANC team.This role will play a vital part in delivering direct, compassionate support to individuals and families affected by pancreatic cancer — helping them navigate diagnosis, treatment, and beyond.The successful candidate will work closely with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure people feel supported, informed, and never alone on their journey.Applications for this role are now open.To apply: Please send your CV and a covering letter outlining your suitability for the role to director@nipanc.org Closing date Wednesday 22nd April at 5pm. Interviews to be held week beginning 27th April 2026 Leadership to Drive the Next Chapter We are also proud to have recently appointed Susan McLaughlin as Executive Director.Susan brings a wealth of experience and a deep connection to the charity, and her leadership will be key in helping to drive NIPANC forward, as we continue to grow our reach and impact across Northern Ireland. New Office Space in Lisburn In addition, from May 1st, NIPANC will be opening a new office space in Lisburn, providing a base to further develop and deliver our services.More details on this exciting development will be shared soon.
