Entries for PedalThePeriphery 2026 are approaching their closing date as riders prepare to take on one of the most remarkable charity cycling challenges in the calendar.

From 5–7 June 2026, teams will cycle the entire coastline of Northern Ireland — an extraordinary 480 miles in just 48 hours — raising vital funds and awareness for pancreatic cancer.

With the event now nearly full, anyone hoping to take part is encouraged to secure their place before entries close on 31 March.

Introducing Team Youth

One exciting new development for 2026 is the launch of Team Youth, the first time young riders will have the opportunity to take part in PedalThePeriphery as part of a dedicated team.

Open to young cyclists aged 13 and over, Team Youth will be led by experienced team captains Mark Gillespie and Heather Thornton, giving younger riders the chance to experience the camaraderie, challenge and sense of purpose that make PedalThePeriphery such a special event.

The initiative aims to inspire the next generation of cyclists while helping raise awareness of pancreatic cancer and the work of NIPANC.

Riding With Purpose

Since it began, Pedal The Periphery has grown into far more than a cycling challenge. It has become a powerful community effort bringing together riders, volunteers and supporters to raise awareness of pancreatic cancer and support patients and families across Northern Ireland.

Every mile cycled helps NIPANC continue its work improving awareness, supporting those affected by pancreatic cancer, and advocating for better outcomes for patients.
