Our biggest event yet is almost here… and we’d love you to be part of it

It’s nearly time.

PedalThePeriphery 2026 is fast approaching, and after the incredible support and energy that surrounded last year’s event, we’re gearing up for something even bigger in 2026.

This year, registration officially closed on 31st March… and it completely sold out.
That means 28 teams and 300 riders will take on the challenge of cycling around Northern Ireland’s coastline and border in just 48 hours.

It’s shaping up to be an unforgettable weekend.

Why We Do It

PedalThePeriphery is about far more than miles, medals, or finish lines.

Every rider, every volunteer, every supporter is part of something bigger — helping to:

  • Raise awareness of pancreatic cancer and its symptoms
  • Fund vital research to improve outcomes
  • Support people and families affected by this devastating disease

Pancreatic cancer is one of the toughest cancers to detect and treat. That’s why events like this matter so much. Every conversation started, every pound raised, and every mile covered helps bring change.

The Heart of the Event: Our Checkpoints

If you’ve experienced PedalThePeriphery before, you’ll know it’s the checkpoints that bring the event to life.

From Newcastle to Ballygally, each stop along the route becomes a hub of encouragement, colour, and community — creating that unmistakable “positively purple” atmosphere that keeps riders going through the day… and the night.

This year, we’ll once again have checkpoints positioned right across the route, alongside start and finish areas. With more teams taking part than ever before, we’re building strong volunteer support at each location to make sure everything runs smoothly — and that no one is stretched for too long.
