One of Northern Ireland's most ambitious charity cycling challenges is back for its fifth year – and for the first time, it's changing direction!PedalThePeriphery, NIPANC's flagship cycling fundraiser, will return from 4–6 June 2027, challenging teams of cyclists to complete an incredible 480-mile journey around the periphery of Northern Ireland in just 48 hours. But there's a twist for Year 5. For the first time since the event began in 2023, cyclists will tackle the route in reverse, travelling anti-clockwise around Northern Ireland and bringing a whole new perspective to this extraordinary challenge. Five Years of Making a Difference Since its launch in 2023, PedalThePeriphery has grown into one of NIPANC's biggest fundraising events, bringing together cyclists, volunteers, businesses and communities from across Northern Ireland.Over 600 people, representing 61 teams, have taken part in the challenge, helping to raise more than £600,000 to support NIPANC's work in raising awareness of pancreatic cancer, supporting those affected by the disease and helping to fund vital research.Behind every mile cycled is a shared determination to make a difference for people and families affected by pancreatic cancer. And while PedalThePeriphery is undoubtedly a formidable physical challenge, it has always been about much more than cycling. It's about people, teamwork, friendship and communities coming together for a cause that matters.
