At NIPANC, we know that a diagnosis of pancreatic cancer affects not only the patient but also their loved ones. The emotional, practical, and personal challenges can have a profound impact on the whole family, which is why we are delighted to introduce Michelle Bradley, our new Family Support Worker.

Michelle brings not only dedication to the role but also lived experience, empathy and understanding. Having lost her husband Stuart to pancreatic cancer, she understands first-hand the challenges that families face following a diagnosis and throughout their journey. As a mother of three children – ranging in ages from pre-school to a teenager in secondary school – Michelle has experienced the difficult balance of supporting loved ones while navigating family life and helping children cope with loss and uncertainty.

Michelle is passionate about ensuring that no family feels alone. Whether someone needs a listening ear, a friendly chat, practical guidance or simply someone who understands through shared experience, Michelle is here to provide compassionate support.

Her warmth, empathy and genuine understanding will help create a safe space where family members can talk openly about their concerns, emotions and experiences. Michelle recognises that every family’s journey is unique and is committed to supporting people in a way that meets their individual needs.

Please join us in giving Michelle a very warm welcome to the NIPANC team. We are delighted to have her on board and know that her experience, kindness, and dedication will make a real difference to families across Northern Ireland.
